A 3–4 day compile job, down to 15 minutes
A US team spent three to four days compiling a recurring process by hand. A VBA automation now does it in about fifteen minutes.
The problem
Monthly data arriving from multiple sources across different customers, all of it needing to be compiled into reports and sent out, a job that was taking the team three to four days of manual work every time it came round.
What I built
Pure Excel. Power Query tidies the incoming data first; VBA then automates normalising it, builds each customer’s report, and outputs the PDFs with the email data ready to send. One run does the lot.
The result
The same job now takes about fifteen minutes. In the client’s own words:
Chris was awesome. The product is awesome and I will definitely use him again for future projects. It took a process that was taking us 3 - 4 days to compile down to 15 minutes.
